Hints for Exercises (Chapter 11)
- Exercise 3: First, assume that all roots of the two polynomials are not equal to zero.
- Exercise 4: Try to act on the identity.
- Exercise 5: With two unknowns, x and y, one polynomial should have for head a power of x, another a power of y. Try to add more.
- Exercise 6: Relate monomials of degree d in n unknowns and monomials of degree at most d in n-1 unknowns using (de)homogeneization.
