Hints for Exercises (Chapter 6)
- Exercise 3: Make sure that the xor of two blocks in message 1 cannot be equal to the xor of two blocks in message 2.
- Exercise 5: Meet-in-the-middle using a collision.
- Exercise 6b: First collide one-half many time. Then, collide the other.
- Exercise 9: How are large elements moved to the end? In the second part of the question, the auxiliary can be used to keep track of things.
